Recycling Of Rare Earths And Rare Metals And Other Secondary Resources Innovation Exchange Meeting Was Held In Baotou

November 29, China's rare earth and precious metals and other strategic metals recycling secondary resources, scientific and technological achievements on-site exchange will be held in Baotou. The exchange was organized by China Renewable Resource Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance, Baotou Municipal People's Government, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Science and Technology Department and Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology. More than 160 experts, scholars and entrepreneurs from all over the country participated in the activity.


Chinese Academy of Sciences, Renewable Resources Alliance Expert Committee Shen Baogen presided over the meeting. At the meeting, the strategic cooperation agreement on promoting the transformation of scientific and technological achievements in the recycling of secondary metals such as rare earths and rare metals was re-signed by China Three-way Government of Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology and Baiyunebo Mining Area People's Government of Baotou. 15 experts and scholars such as Party Secretary and President of Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology Li Baowei, Vice President of Jiangsu Polytechnic University Zhou Quanfa and Tsinghua University Prof. Xu Shengming made keynote speeches on topics such as rare earth recycling and electronic waste, waste power lithium batteries, used motor, etc. Waste contained precious metals recycling and many other topics. The exchange also held high-end dialogue and exchange around such topics as green development of industries, technological innovation and equipment manufacturing.


On Nov. 30, experts, scholars and entrepreneurs attending the meeting also exchanged their opinions on the joint research project of Baiyunebo associated with comprehensive utilization of biogenic waste and was jointly funded by the State Key Lab of Multipurpose Utilization of Polymetallic Resources in Inner Mongolia, Baotou Iron and Steel Group) Co., Ltd. rare earth tailings and other places visited.
